Ernest W. Harper talks about his family's journey from Texas to Florida in 1915. He describes their automobile, hotels and restaurants they stopped at, and roads and traveling conditions. He shares many of his memories of various places in Texas as well as New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain.

Ernest W. Harper is a retired electrician and an amateur geologist. He has found and retraced many Indian trails and federal roads in the Columbus, Ga. area and also participated in locating Fort Perry, one of the forts built by Gen.
